Kitchen Extract & Canopy Cleaning in Selby
TR19 extract cleaning quotes for Selby and the neighbouring North Yorkshire towns, arranged through a specialist provider with a certificate every visit.
Selby's kitchens sit in two different settings. The older is the historic centre: the Market Place, in use since the early 14th century, with its Grade II listed Market Cross, and Selby Abbey, whose popularity with visitors has driven development and renovation across the town. The newer is the edge of town, where houses and shops have spread out towards the A63 bypass opened in 2004, taking some trade from the centre. Selby College, part of the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group since its 2022 merger with Wakefield College, and Selby High School follow the academic year.
Kitchens in the older buildings around the Market Place can have long or awkward duct runs that need surveying before a price is fixed. Units out towards the bypass tend to be easier to reach, but longer opening hours would mean a shorter TR19 interval. College and school kitchens can be done in the holidays. North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service enforces fire safety and North Yorkshire Council handles food hygiene. We arrange TR19 extract cleaning quotes throughout Selby and YO8, and the provider who does the work issues the certificate.

Frequently Asked Questions
How often should a kitchen in Selby have its extract cleaned?
TR19 Grease sets minimums by daily cooking hours: every three months for 12 to 16 hours a day, every six months for 6 to 12 hours and every twelve months for 2 to 6 hours. The provider confirms the right interval for your kitchen from the grease readings at each visit.
Who carries out the cleaning in Selby?
We arrange your quote and pass the enquiry to an independent specialist extract cleaning provider covering Selby and the neighbouring North Yorkshire towns. They clean to the TR19 Grease standard and issue the certificate, grease readings and photographs.
Will the certificate satisfy my insurer and the council?
Food hygiene in Selby is inspected by North Yorkshire Council, and fire safety falls under North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service. A TR19 certificate with before-and-after photographs and grease readings is the evidence insurers, fire risk assessors and food safety officers ask to see.
